Life of Brian Genius or Grotesque?

Monty Python’s Life of Brian is a classic movie. The themes of classic Roman epics are flipped on their heads, classic character archetypes are subverted, and many classic Roman movie scenes are given the Python’s twist, which makes it an entertaining movie. The movie has not aged well in some regards though, many jokes end up falling flat and detract from the total value of the movie. Life of Brian is a beautifully made subversive comedy, that is a classic in the Roman epic genre and while a bit dated is still entertaining.
